‘Mom, I See War’ is the world’s largest digital museum of children’s art about war, with a collection of over 15,000 drawings by Ukrainian children created since 2022.
Over the past three years, children in Ukraine have learned to adapt to a new reality. Those born during the war know no other world. They recognize air raid sirens, know how to quickly find shelter, and can talk about difficult topics related to war. For many of them, drawing has become a powerful way to express their emotions and experiences.
That’s why we are launching a new phase of collecting drawings by children and teenagers — to document and preserve their lived experiences during three years of full-scale invasion.
We invite children, parents, teachers, and educators to submit drawings on the theme of war. Submissions can include both traditional artworks on paper and digital images created using digital tools.
To submit a drawing, follow these three simple steps:
- Take a photo of the drawing in good lighting (or, if it’s a digital image, save it in high quality).
- Upload the photo along with a handwritten note signed and dated by the legal representative, stating:
“I, as the legal representative of [child’s name], have read and agree to the Terms of Participation in the ‘Mom, I See’ Charitable Foundation project regarding the use of my child’s creative work provided here.” - Fill out the form with your contact information and include a brief description of the story behind the drawing.
We also kindly ask children and parents who submitted drawings earlier to confirm their participation by re-uploading the artwork and completing the form at the same link: https://www.misw.org/upload/.
A reminder: the digital museum Mom, I See War is built on blockchain technology, which ensures that every drawing is preserved as an immutable digital artifact, with a verified date and origin. This guarantees the authenticity of the artworks and protects children’s testimonies for future generations.
Every child’s drawing can become a part of history in our digital museum. Join us in preserving their voices.
