UNICEF Collaboration Unveils Mom, I See War Video Project Showcasing Children’s Perceptions of War Through Art

June 1, 2022

In commemoration of International Children’s Day, the “Mom, I See War” initiative and UNICEF jointly premiered a video on June 1st, 2022, that sheds light on how children grapple with the realities of war.

“The war took away Ukrainian children’s childhood. Some people miss going out with friends the most, others their favorite toys, and there are those who want to go back to music or dance classes. But the thing every Ukrainian child truly wants is peace! Peace, thanks to which they will be reunited with their families and will be able to live their childhood joyfully and carefree,” UNICEF comments.

The video creatively integrates children’s artwork from the “Mom, I See War” project, the most extensive digital repository globally that houses children’s drawings depicting the full-scale war in Ukraine.
